Job Title: Customer Service Representative – Remote

As a Customer Service Representative for American Express, you will be responsible for providing premier customer support to our valued cardmembers. You will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with our customers and assist them with a range of inquiries, including account questions, billing inquiries, and general product information. You will serve as the face of American Express, delivering top-notch service while working from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound calls and provide exceptional customer service to American Express cardmembers
  • Address questions and concerns, and provide guidance on account-related matters
  • Resolve billing inquiries and process payments
  • Identify opportunities to enhance cardmembers’ experience and provide personalized recommendations
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of customer interactions in the company database
  • Adhere to company policies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements


  • Prior customer service experience, preferably in a remote or contact center environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated ability to handle customer inquiries with empathy, patience, and professionalism
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
